WELCOME TO THE HOTEL AM CHLODWIGPLATZ IN COLOGNE'S SOUTH CITY Charming accommodation in the heart of Cologne's South City. A project from the neighbourhood for the neighbourhood...and its guests! Our aim is for you to feel at home with us and sleep soundly in our simple, beautiful and clean rooms. That's why we concentrate on what's important: personal hospitality, a pleasant ambience - and of course cosy beds By preserving and mordernising the old charm of our building, we also strengthening the 'Veedel' (neighbourhood) culture! Our gem was built in 1890 and is a protected building. Since 2019, families from the neighbourhood have been renovating and embellishing the hotel on a part-time basis from current income. It is important to us to bring back the original charm of the old building and combine it with current standards, as ecologically and sustainably as possible. We are often asked whether these are the same standards as those of well-known hotel chains! Quite clearly: "Absolutely not!" We don't have a lift, teeny-tiny bathrooms, washbasins in the rooms and that special 80s charm in the stairwell. Instead, we run our hotel with passion and heart and soul - as families from Südstadt for Südstadt and for you!
