The village of Aldeia do Pontido has five houses which have been reconstructed based on respect for the original architecture and the material used traditionally in the villages of Minho. The Pontido Village returns to life three decades after its last inhabitant left. Near the source of the River Vizela, where clear water still runs, the Pontido Village offers a unique opportunity for rural tourism. The entire village has been reconstructed. You almost can hear the sound of the cars that marked the ridges of pavement, while you relax on the terrace, next to the river bank, just beside the old granite bridge. Feel the call of nature!
