You will more than likely find this bed and breakfast special in a number of ways. The owners are extremely nice and helpful and they stay on top of things. From the moment you walk in the front door, you will feel welcomed and appreciated. The proprietors are more than willing to assist you with your needs, pleased to advise, and will help make arrangements for you at your request.
The B&B location is somewhat outside central Edinburgh. It's only a thirty minute or so walk to Princes Street Gardens, which can be refreshing if the weather is nice. You can catch the bus right outside and it comes frequently. Check-out the royal commonwealth pool after a long day, it's very relaxing.
One thing is for sure, you won't get bored with the meals offered at this B&B. The menu is new each morning, designed and prepared by one of the owners. The dishes are beautifully presented. The communal room with the honour bar is worth a visit as well.
The water pressure from the shower is a bit weak. You may be able to still manage though.
Beautiful décor, but bad mattresses. The two do not work well together. You might find that the mattress coils are sticking in your back, side, or whichever way your body is touching the mattress. It creaks when you sit on it, so it's noisy! The mattress appears to be of poor quality compared to the other décor in the room. You may also find the main cover for the bed a bit thin.
The walls seem too bare and could do well with a few more accent pieces; however, this is a matter of personal taste.
