Hostel St Christopher's Edinburgh Original (Edinburgh, United Kingdom)

St Christopher's Inns Edinburgh was found to be in a fantastically convenient position, just across from the train station, and within an easy walk of the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle.

Guests found the staff to be approachable and helpful, while the free breakfast downstairs at Belushi’s was appreciated by almost all, even though it was a fairly simple affair.

The budget price of staying was definitely an attraction, with most guests being backpackers, while the chill-out room and good bars downstairs were considered nice communal spots to hang out in, but did not have too much of a party hostel atmosphere.

Anyone who is looking for a hostel with shared kitchen facilities to prepare meals will be disappointed here, but at least there is a microwave.

Some guests were disappointed to find the Wi-Fi signal did not reach their rooms, but the signal appears to be fine in the common areas.

The hostel common areas were thought to be a little too small by some, while the space provided for luggage storage and the showers were also considered to be on the cramped side.
