Guest house Ga-jyun is set a picturesque traditional Japanese house peppered with Kyoto memorabilia.
Guests may stay either in private rooms or dormitories, all set in a bunk-bed style, with shared baths and toilets. Rooms in the Annex next door are private, en-suite and self-contained.
There is free Wi-Fi throughout. Guests are welcome to relax on the wooden deck in the garden, by the symbolic plum tree. There is a free shuttle to the establishment’s Japanese public baths in Sento. Complimentary beverages are available in the common guest lounge. Laundry facilities are available on-site, as are bicycle rentals.

In fact, the meal is a veritable feast of superb Japanese fare, ranging from eggs to soup, all the way to doughnuts and yoghurt. Guests say that they wouldn't miss it for the world. Guests say that Guest House Ga-Jyun is the only hub for the best sigh-seeing opportunities. There is a convenience store just across the road, a Shrine not much farther, and the Kyoto Zoo just moments away, in an area peppered with gorgeous temples. There is a bus stop and subway station also just steps away, ensuring that a visitor is easily able to explore the area to their heart's content.
