This locale is especially ideal for those with business at the University of Florida or VA Hospital.  Walking distance reaches Ben Hill Griffin Stadium or numerous assorted dining and nightlife venues.  (Bistro 1245, Saigon Cafe and Leonardo's Pizza are within a two-minute stroll.)  The lobby is newly renovated and beautifully-arranged with a little table for guests to enjoy free cookies and coffee.  The rooftop swimming pool is stunning.  Laundry facilities, a gym, and a business center with computer access are provided on-site, as well as a full menu Italian restaurant called Piesano's.  Check their discount rates for students/parents of students at the University. There's a complimentary breakfast served daily.  Parking is somewhat tight; ask for assistance if needed.

Rooms are tidy and well-appointed with the expected amenities; microwaves, refrigerators, adequate furnishings, comfortable beds, fresh linens and towels and superb Wi-Fi connectivity.  Air conditioning units might be a bit loud for some - bring your earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Friendly, efficient and enthusiastic staff make this place stand out.  Speedy check-in/out procedures and generous transportation for those headed for medical assistance at the VA Hospital.  Polite and professional from arrival to departure.

Some reported the hotel has only partially renovated - with the rest of the areas begging for a refurb.  A fresh coat of paint and good scrubbing could do wonders.

Some greatly disliked the complimentary breakfast and couldn't say enough bad things about it.  Take a peek and choose elsewhere if needed.  There's a handy McDonald's just a stroll away.

Some were annoyed by their neighbors' voices and televisions, as well as noisy upstairs footsteps.  Bring a fan or some earplugs and ask for a top floor unit if possible.
