About Storjord Hotel
Storjord Hotel is one of the finest preserved examples of the small wooden hotels you would find in every village in Norway a century ago. It has been lovingly restored by the great granddaughter of the first owners who built the hotel in 1923. Both the bedrooms and the common rooms still look very much like they looked in the nineteen twenties and thirties. The hotel is situated in the wooded valley of Saltdal, surrounded by mile high mountain peaks. You can follow footpaths through the pinewoods and along the river, and visit the nearby National Park Centre and Adde Zetterquist Art Gallery.
