At Solar Maria Carolina we offer comfortable chalets, authentic Brasilian gastronomy and service by the owners. The Solar has only ten chalets, an exclusive and quiet environment in a rural setting. There are six standard bungalows, whic are very cozy, with queen-size beds, goose feather pillows, air conditioning, mini-fridge and a porch with a hammock. The family bungalow has the same amenities as the standard bungalows and can accommodate up to five adults comfortably. For those who want to make their stay even more exclusive, our premium chalets have a distinctive finish, king-size beds, special linen furnishings and towels plus a soaking tub. We are 40km from Belo Horizonte and 19km from INHOTIM, the largest open-air contemporary art museum in the world. We offer authentic Brazilian cuisine: our head chef Willem is a Dutchman who loves Minas Gerais food. Our dishes are prepared with ingredients from our own vegetable garden or sourced in the region. Our dinners are candle-lit and we offer great wines and locally produced beers.
