The hotel is conveniently located close to the centre of Grange where there are plenty of nice shops, pubs and restaurants. The location also makes it a great base for exploring the nearby Lake District and the surrounding Cumbrian countryside.

The majority of the guests were complimentary about the quality of food served at the hotel restaurant. The breakfasts were described as plentiful with a wide variety of items to choose from, whilst the evening meals were also greeted with compliments.

Lack of space in rooms.
Some of the guests have objected to their rooms being quite small and stated that there was inadequate storage space due to the size of the wardrobes. The bathrooms were also described as cramped with very little space between the shower units and the WC,

The TVs in the guest rooms have been described by many of the guests as too small. Considering the size of the rooms, the majority of guests believed that larger television screens would be far more appropriate and would allow more comfortable viewing.

On several occasions when guests required staff assistance, for example at check-in or ordering drinks at the bar, there were too few members of staff on hand and the guests complained about having to wait longer than expected to get seen to.
