Parking might be an issue
A couple of guests mention that the parking at the front of the pub is limited during daytime hours. You may need to look elsewhere if you don't want the hassle of moving your car. Guests advise that parking is also available in a road behind the pub.

Seems occasionally understaffed
Reviews of the Black Bull indicate that although the staff is generally found to be friendly, the standard of service sometimes suffers due to understaffing issues. Guests report walking out after becoming frustrated with waiting to be served.

Some noise concerns
Several past guests have mentioned that they found their room was noisy thanks to sound from the street and the bar, the latter more noticeable at the weekend. Rooms at the front of the hotel are worst affected.
