Positive Reviews
positive:
Very close to the metro
Quite a few guests pointed out that Delmon was very close to a metro station. Since Deira is some way from the glitzy part of Dubai, they were happy that they could easily access the metro to get to these areas further north in economical air conditioned comfort.
positive:
Free shuttle to the beach
Guests mentioned that the hotel offers a free shuttle to a big mall and a popular beach. They were very grateful for this service since it enabled them to see a bit more of Dubai than just the area around Deira, all without having to pay any extra.
positive:
Near some good stores and restaurants
A number of guests were only at the hotel for a night, usually on an airport layover, so they didn't feel like having to travel far to access basic services. They were happy that there were good restaurants, and stores nearby to buy supplies or souvenirs for family and friends back home.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noisy nightclub stays open till late
The noise coming from the ground floor nightclub was perhaps what most irked guests about the Delmon. While everything is described as very civilised, with no reports of loutish behaviour and so on, the fact is that it lays music until the early hours, sometimes disturbing guest's sleep.
negative:
Staff sometimes a bit rude
While there were also positive comments about staff behaviour, a very large number of guests mentioned that the staff had been exceptionally rude and unhelpful when they approached them.
negative:
Exceptionally poor Wi-Fi
There were many complaints about the Wi-Fi, with guests saying the signal was so weak it was actually worse than not having Wi-Fi at all. At least if they knew there was no Wi-Fi, they would not have wasted their time trying to connect.
