The hotel is set within the Saratoga State Park which provides a very picturesque and peaceful backdrop. Guests said that they thoroughly enjoyed walking along the extensive grounds which feature many mature trees and colorful plants. If you are looking for a relaxing country getaway then you certainly won't be disappointed. .

Guests who dined at the on-site restaurant complimented the quality of food stating that the dishes were tasty, fresh and well presented. The service was also said to be of a high level whilst many guests also praised the hearty and well-prepared breakfasts.

Being set in the State Park, the resort is only a short walk away from the numerous facilities available there including tennis courts, a swimming pool and a golf course as well as many nature trails. Those who wanted to explore further afield could take advantage of the complimentary car service provided by the resort. .

The rooms have been described as being quite dated with old fashioned furniture and upholstery. Many objected to the peeling paint and cracked tiles in the bathrooms as well as the outmoded suites. Guests observed that the rooms have not been renovated for quite some time and were now starting to show their age. .

Guests objected to being able to hear everything going on in the adjoining rooms including conversations and televisions which was described as being quite intrusive. Many also mentioned that they could hear noise from the hallways due to the thin doors. .

Although the rooms were said to be clean, guests objected to seeing bags of refuse left in the hallways by housekeeping as well as dirty glasses and hospitality trays which were described as unsightly. .
