Rietfontein Guest Farm is located in the foothills of the Touwsberg Mountains in the Touwsberg Private Nature Reserve off Route 62 on the Plathuis Road near Ladismith in the Klein Karoo. This is a tranquil environment engulfed in the sounds of nature. Five fully equipped self catering cottages, each sleeping four people with outside barbecue area, private outdoor wood fired hot tub and great views. A swimming pool provides welcome relief in summertime and there is a indoor fireplace for the winter chills. All bedding, towels, crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans and barbecue utensils are provided. Firewood can be bought on site. Electricity is provided by Solar panels and supplies 12 volt current for the lights. Stove, refrigerator and geyser works with gas. No 220 volt appliances/gadgets will work here. Activities include: game viewing, birdwatching, hiking trail, swimming and mountain bike routes. Danger: Stressed to relaxed in 30 minutes.
