Maison de Laura is a typical French farmhouse built in 1876. The attached barn once used to store wine from the vigneron's own vineyards has been renovated into the Gîte now being offered as holiday accommodation. There are both double and twin bedrooms with built in wardrobes. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a large walk in shower. Fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area with open fireplace, sofas and television. There is a south facing swimming pool which is very secluded. Outside is a terrace with eating area and plancher style barbecue. The small and quiet village of Salsigne is 20 minutes from Carcassonne and situated in a valley in the foothills of the Montagne Noir where you are well situated to explore the region. The village has a small shop selling most items with bread and croissants fresh every morning. The Cathar castles of Lastours a short walk away and Le Cité of Carcassonne, 30 minutes by car.
