About Casa De Darei

Quinta de Darei is a property of 150 hectares located in the small village of Darei in Mangualde, Viseu. Situated at Dão, is a region with strong traditions wine and apple production. The property is surrounded by gardens, orchards, vineyards and olive trees and Dão River, where you can enjoy the tranquility of nature and a unique landscape. During your stay you can also enjoy the company of farm animals, chickens, ducks, pigs, cows, sheep and goats, especially of our friendly donkey “Inácio” and our more grumpy pony “Garcia”. All houses were rebuilt fully safeguarding their initial maps, used materials and construction techniques recovering characteristics of the region, in order to preserve the region’s heritage. We have 3 lodging options: 1 - Casa Grande: Century manor. XVI with 7 rooms all with private bathroom, for up to 18-20 people (5 double rooms, 1 room with 5 beds and 1 bedroom with 3-5 single beds). One dining room with fireplace, 2 living rooms with fireplace, and a kitchen all renovated and equipped, also with fireplace. 2 - Casa do Pátio:Capacity for 6 people, with 3 bedrooms (1 en suite) plus 1 bathroom, 1 living room with fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. 3 - Casa do Tanque: Capacity for 4 people with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 living room with fireplace and fully equipped kitchen.
