The walls are solid stone and ceilings are beamed with ancient oak and poplar (with a little bit of new). Floors are polished oak or chestnut. Every room has character. There is a romantic terrace for outdoor dining and more space out the back to catch the spectacular sunsets, and a superb pool with delightful surroundings. Nearby is the unspoilt village of Lamothe Fenelon, with medieval church and two restaurants, a small lake and children's playground. 5 km away is Payrac, picturesque, with a superb village shop, pharmacy, doctor and three restaurants. Two excellent towns are 15 km away with supermarkets and all amenities. Dordogne river is 10 mins drive and the property is well situated for the major tourist attractions of the Dordogne region.
