About Claris Hotel & Spa
Claris Hotel & Spa is a five-star hotel located in the heart of Barcelona’s shopping, cultural and tourist district.
Every one of the 124 luxurious rooms and suites have climate control, 24-hour room service, satellite TV, Bluetooth connectivity and each is decorated with original pieces of Roman, Egyptian or Hindu art.
Remodelled in 1992 from a former palace, Claris Hotel & Spa boasts an outdoor pool, solarium, gym and sauna and, uniquely, an Egyptian art museum with various pieces from the owners extensive private collection.
The hotel has two dining options; East 47 Cocktail and Tapas Bar serving spirits, wines by the glass and, of course, cocktails, and La Terraza del Claris Hotel & Spa, a glass-enclosed gourmet restaurant which affords spectacular views across the city.
The historic Gothic quarter and Plaza Catalunya are ten-minutes away and the hotel is situated mere steps from Passeig de Gracia with its multitude of exclusive clothing stores.

positive:
Views from above.
The rooftop bar area is large and, with its comfortable seating, pool and cocktail bar area, is the perfect spot for a nightcap after a busy day of taking in the sights of Barcelona. There is a vast selection of premium cocktails on offer.
positive:
A unique proposition.
In a city full of ultra-modern hotels, Claris offer something with a little more character. The Egyptian art museum on-site is unique and the pieces in every room make this establishment one of a kind.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Style over substance.
The hotel is undoubtedly beautiful, but some guests have found practicality in the bedrooms to be lacking; drawer space is reported as limited, bathrooms have little room for toiletries and bedside lamps are too low to be useful.
negative:
Inconsistent housekeeping.
The housekeeping service can sometimes be inconsistent, with turn-down services enacted on some nights but not all. Requests made for cleaning at particular times are not always met.
negative:
Paying for Wi-Fi that works.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel but connection can be intermittent. If you're looking to get away from it all this won't be a problem, but otherwise you may need to utilise the premium internet service, which you will have to pay for.
