About Zen Vouga

Zen Vouga (the farm or Quinta do Fundo de Vila) has around three acres and is in a tranquil and idyllic location. It was first set up in 1744, even though there are records of being the agricultural part of a Roman Villa (of which there are no remnants). It spreads along the south face of the Vouga valley and has an old wine press and more recent wine press, cellar, maize crib, covered swimming pool and 4 houses, of which 3 are available for guests. The houses are preferably rent altogether and for families. The oldest houses have been built with the region’s granite and wood, in the walls and ceilings, and have been recently renovated. You may enjoy the tranquillity of life in the village, as well as to cook from the wooden oven, and two barbecues are also available for use (one in the swimming pool area). You may also enjoy a pleasant swimming pool with a copper and zinc ionization system, having less chlorine than tap water. The farm is in a typical northern Portuguese village, calm and with few inhabitants, with traditional small-scale agriculture. All this in direct contact with nature.
