About Palazzo Corso Umberto
... History Pills ... Palazzo Corso Umberto was born almost by chance from a chat between Rosanna and Federico, local entrepreneurs in the hotel sector and a young rampant architect from the Matese area, Luca Romano. Rosanna has always dreamed of creating a B&B in her adopted country, born and raised in Campitello Matese, but since she was a great child of Bojano, both for school duty and for friendships. Looking for some time now for a structure to dedicate to hospitality, he asks Luca for information on some buildings, but nobody has excited the minds of the protagonists of the project. On a warm autumn morning, Luca asks Rosanna and Federico to visit a historic building owned by his mother located in the so-called "Vico per Dentro". "At first sight I was not enthusiastic - Rosanna reveals - the building was well maintained, well-kept, with a rich collection of antique furniture, but I was looking for something already defined and, certainly, my vision was not that of the architect who, strong of his professionalism, he already saw the realization finished. It was an important numerical date for me on the day of the meeting, so I decided to bet on it and throw myself headlong into realization ". Thus we began to throw down a few ideas, the architect sketched the various hypotheses on one sheet and another until everything emerged in the birth of the B & B Palazzo Corso Umberto, whose name derives from the road that runs along the entrance main. The Palace, from 1740, was the patriarchal house of the famous glass-maker Mariano Colalillo. It consists of two floors: the ground floor with an imposing entrance on a covered and illuminated passageway where historical photos stand out, opening onto a courtyard of the past, where a washhouse reigns supreme with small doors that give a surreal atmosphere and act as a frame to an environment that lends itself to fashion shows, photo exhibitions, book presentations ... a real boutique of hospitality. An imposing staircase, formed by high historical steps, accompany the first floor where there will be a green natural corner that dominates the restored entrance, but remained unchanged, in all its details. And here is the pulsating soul of the building! Five rooms, designed with the key points of our beautiful country (Matese, Civita, Sant’Egidio, Biferno and Callora) completely restored on a warm parquet floor, each with a small balcony overlooking the main courtyard and the alley of the Corso. The furniture has been studied in a distinct and unique way, worked by a small craftsman. Light but warm tones predominate, giving space to the excusiveness, to the lighting, to a Sky TV screen, Wi-Fi, studying every detail even in the bathroom to give you maximum comfort. Small historical furniture of the building, enrich the pretty reception area that connects the rooms to the living room "Campitello Matese", an open space to relax, drink a good herbal tea or an aged rum, listen to music, play the "old" court floor, see tv, connect with the virtual world, have unlimited breakfast and, if it's cold outside, the fireplace will warm you up. To enhance this room, the exposed entrance to the kitchen; a great environment because we believe that breakfast ... is an emotion to experience! We bring to your table our products, those of a genuine territory, rich in raw materials processed by us with passion: from the water of Biferno, to milk, yogurt and cheeses from our pastures, passing through the jams and honey of our peasants, eggs, meats, bread and fragrant sweets prepared every morning by us, where a scent of the house is transmitted from the smell to the taste. Even the coffee will be Molisano ... yes, but at Palazzo Corso Umberto, like in the houses of the grandmother, the old Neapolitan coffee maker will snort to let you savor the perfect union between water and freshly ground, between past and present ... To close this corner of Paradise, a terrace overlooks the Main Square of Bojano "Piazza Roma", which has always been a reference point for our country, a meeting point for adults and children, a commercial hub for recreational and religious activities. A tastefully decorated outdoor area dominates a four-season Bojano, where each one presents itself with different colors, scents and sounds. Hospitality ... our passion ... Rosanna and Federico
