Les Chimères is in the mediaeval village of Puylaroque, perched on a hill, and all rooms have a wonderful view. The house was originally built on the ramparts and the stone staircase leadIng to the rooms was a watchtower, built in the 12th century. It’s ideally situated to explore the fascinating Bastides such as Puyelci, Penne and Bruniquel as well as visiting more famous towns: St Antonin Noble Val (where Charlotte Grey and 100 steps were made), St Cirq la Popie, Cahors, Moissac...not forgetting Toulouse only an hour away! There are dogs and cats in the house...2 of each!...so best suited for animal lovers. There are good walks locally and bikes can be hired in the village. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and there are tea/coffee making facilities as well as dressing gowns, slippers, hairdryer, fan, irons and boards in all rooms. Winner of 4 in a bed in 2012. Amazing gastronomic restaurant only 50 metres away!
