Positive Reviews
positive:
All good in the rooms.
Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean – just as they should be! No plumbing or water pressure problems. Some rooms don’t have windows – so they become ‘cell-like’. The high end, deluxe rooms are well worth considering if the budget allows. However, Wi-Fi doesn’t seem to work in the rooms at all.
positive:
Good location.
Local markets, the beach and numerous facilities, are within easy walking distance. No need to incur taxi or other transportation costs. The pool here is nice, if a bit on the small side.
positive:
Impressive staff.
Members of staff are, generally, very nice, friendly and attentive. Cleaners are particularly good and you look forward to sharing ‘banter’ with them.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Indifferent breakfast.
Nothing of any note here. Breakfast is very average. It would be a good PR move to make it ‘free’ and just swallow the cost … which can’t be very great. Flies and insects are a ‘turn off’ at breakfast. All in all, it’s not an impressive start to the day.
negative:
Noise problems.
Due to the main road location, there is the constant traffic noise to contend with. Sleep is very difficult. This also applies to rooms near the restaurant; particularly at breakfast when activity starts very early.
negative:
Interior is a bit ‘stark’.
It could be more welcoming and with very little effort. Just adding some plants in the communal areas and along the corridors would make all the difference. Rooms are clean but vary considerably in overall quality. There seems to be something of a ‘black market’ when it comes to upgraded rooms. They are at a premium and prices are ‘imaginative’. Booking them in advance is probably best.
